Lin Bangniang is a Singaporean songwriter and music educator with extensive experience in composition, arrangement, production and vocal coaching. With a creative career spanning nearly two decades, she brings real-world industry experience into her teaching, helping students turn their musical ideas into expressive, well-crafted songs.

  Composed and released original single inspired by the beauty of historical fantasy, involving a conversational interaction between Queen of the Night and Butterfly.

  Top 10 winner of HIM 17th Global Chinese Online Songwriting Competition (华研国际音乐第17届全球华人网路词曲创作大赛).

• 《明仔早日头相像光》 (2020)
  Composer of the COVID-19 charity theme song by Singapore Chin Kang Huay Kuan.

• 《乘风飞翔》 (2018)
  Composer of the main theme song for Singapore Chin Kang Huay Kuan Centennial.

• 《孤城》 (2014)
  Composer of the song included in the album Legend of Bai Su Zhen 《白素贞》 by Chinese artiste Dong Zhen 董贞. The song was also selected as the soundtrack for the audio drama The Golden Hairpin 《青簪行》 by Ximalaya FM (喜马拉雅-有声书).

Teaching Approach

Bangniang believes that songwriting is a balance of inspiration, technique and honest self-expression. She guides students through melody writing, lyric development, arrangement and production, while encouraging them to discover their own musical voice and bring each song to life with confidence.
