Founded in Singapore in 1995, Lee Wei Song Music Academy offers practical, industry-rooted training in pop vocals, songwriting and performance. Based at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, the academy provides a professional and inspiring environment where students can build real-world music skills.

For more than 30 years, our programmes have combined technique, creativity and performance. Our wider activities have included stage performance, pop dance, children’s music programmes, masterclasses and original-music showcases. Notable former students include Stefanie Sun and Huang Yida, who were discovered at the academy, and JJ Lin, who took a songwriting course here in his earlier pursuit of his music journey.

Our Founder, Lee Wei Song, is a respected composer, producer and educator in Mandopop, known for songs including “I’ve Waited Until the Flowers Withered”, “My Desired Happiness” and “Against the Light”.

Over the years, LWS Music Academy has worked with public agencies, community organisations and private partners on music education and performance initiatives. Current collaborations include SAFRA.
