Zhan Hao is a performer and local artiste who started off as the lead singer of local band DFC 大风吹 (2008 Singapore Mediacorp Channel U Reality Band competition, Superband, as 1st Runner-Up) having released an EP “DFC大风吹 debut” in 2009. He has also obtained Distinction in London College of Music Pop Vocals Examination Grade 8.
With a flair in song writing, Zhan hao has penned songs and lyrics not only for the band, whose EP “大风吹” was nominated for “Best Indie Production” at FM100.3’s e-Awards in 2010, but also for TV dramas which aired on CCTV China (《最初的回忆》 for《行医》) and regional artistes like Hacken Lee李克勤, Lee Wei Song 李伟菘, Julie Tan 陈欣淇 and etc.
One of his song 《骤变》Channel 8 local dramas <Sudden> was nominated as one of the best theme in 2013 in Mediacorp Star.
He is also the resident judge for The Sheng Siong Singing Competition since 2013 and has judged various local and TV show competition like Impresario and Mediacorp’s Superstar 2014, and also has extensive performance experience from doing many local gigs shows and various Mediacorp programmes like judging/vocalist for theme song for drama and variety show.
We’ve had the pleasure of learning from Teacher Zhan Hao for several years — first as a couple, and later with our two children. He is an exceptional vocal teacher who not only teaches proper singing techniques but also pays great attention to pronunciation and expression.
Under his guidance, both our kids took the LCME Popular Music Vocals exams — one achieved Distinction in Grade 8, and the other achieved Distinction in Grade 4. These excellent results truly reflect his dedication and expertise.
He is fun, patient, and highly professional. What stands out most is how he customizes his lessons to suit each student’s needs, whether teaching adults or children. Every class is engaging, inspiring, and productive. We’re truly grateful…
