Huiwen Zheng

Zheng Huiwen is a vocal artist with a strong academic background and extensive performance experience. With over 3 years of teaching experience, she has worked with students of all ages, from young children to adults. From November 2019 to November 2022, she earned a Master's degree in Vocal Music from the Conservatorio di Musica "Lucio Campiani" in Mantova, Italy, specializing in vocal performance, piano, music education, chamber music, choir, and opera history. Before that, she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Musicology from Central China Normal University, where she focused on music theory, music education, songwriting, traditional music, and world music.


She has taught music in various educational settings for several years, including two years in Singapore as a vocal and piano coach. In this role, she provided personalized instruction in both popular vocal styles and classical techniques such as bel canto, with one of her students winning first prize in a campus competition.


Before moving to Singapore, she worked as a chorus teacher at the TianKong Children's Choir at Central China Normal University, where she led rehearsals, managed students aged 5–12, and maintained close communication with parents.


Earlier in her career, she taught at Wuhan Wuchang District 39th Senior High School, covering vocal training, music theory, sight-singing, and music appreciation. She also conducted the school choir in competitions.


Huiwen is deeply passionate about music education and is committed to nurturing students' growth through both technical training and creative expression.


In addition to her teaching career, Huiwen has competed in several prestigious international competitions. In August 2025, she won third prize at the Asia International Music Competition. In June 2022, she claimed first place in the vocal category at the 3rd Klousios Music Festival, and earlier in March 2022, she also won first place in the vocal category at the 3rd Platinum International Grand Prize. Furthermore, during her undergraduate studies, she received both the Boya Scholarship and the National Scholarship for Excellence.


Her performance experience is equally diverse. She has held solo vocal concerts in various churches across Italy, participated in masterclasses with renowned artists such as Susanna Rigacci and Maurizio Torelli, and performed operatic roles, including Flora in La Traviata (Mantova) and Flaminia in The World on the Moon (Trento). Huiwen has also performed in a Children's Day Gala broadcast live on Wuhan TV. During her university years, she was part of the management team of the TianKong Choir, organizing and participating in performances at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Russia and in Belarus. The choir also performed multiple times at major theaters in China, including the National Theater and Tsinghua University Music Hall, as well as in cities like Beijing, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Macau, Xiamen, Zhengzhou, Qingdao, Ningbo, Zhangzhou, and others.
